Last year at this time, I was talking to the boy who I’d soon fall in love with, and still am in love with, we’ll call him C. I hungout with one of my friends and ended up losing my virginity to him, and we’ll call him J. I was so careless, I didn’t even think about how much it would hurt C. But it always haunted our relationship. In November, he cheated on me in hopes to even it out. I would do anything to take it back. It pains me everyday to know that this was my fault.
I regret that I couldn’t save him.

As many of you know, I asked people to anonymously send me regrets. With them all, I created a book. I dyed each page with different types of teas, hand-written each regret, and burned each paper. I handmade the entire book.
At the beginning of this project, I thought I would get tiny regrets, regrets that were not very meaningful. I wasn’t expecting it to become what it is now. I received many more regrets than I thought I would. Just a warning to you all, reading each one will touch your heart, some more than others. It will make you feel ways you haven’t before. As I continued gaining more and more regrets, I realized that this project was more than just a “regrets book.” This project was for everyone who said something to be able to let go of anything that held them back or has hurt them. To each of you who has participated, thank you. I hope by you opening up to me has set you free of any pain that these regrets have caused you.
I’ve noticed that most of these regrets are about NOT doing things or not standing up for yourself. So let this be a lesson to you all… Don’t be afraid of life. Don’t be afraid to say yes, and don’t be afraid to say no. Follow your intuition. You know you better than anyone else.
Anonymous asked: Have you put all the regrets from the original? I think I posted something when you first asked & I do not see it. Just wondering. Could have been a computer error on my part. Thanks :)
There were a few pages that didn’t fit in the book, but I did keep the pages. I’ll take pictures of them and put them up later if you’d like (: There’s about twenty I didn’t get a chance to put up.
